DSFAC Rally Team
DSFAC Rally Team (Doing Something For A Change) will be launching Canada's first 4 wheel drive vehicle attempt on the Dakar Rally in 2011. The attempt will be supported by a fund raising effort to generate $4 million in revenues for two African focussed charities aswell as prepare book and tv rights to allow the charities to benefit from ongoing income. East Meets West Foundation
The 'East Meets West' Foundation exists to raise support and provide effective partnerships for the Navajeevan Orphanages in Kolkatta, India. These homes care for terminally ill and disabled children in a city of 11 million people. Located around one of the largest slums in the city, the orphanages care for over 300 children who are abandoned and discarded. With few funds and dedicated staff (including medical professionals) they even succeed in finding new families for many of these children.
