Account Coordinator (Position Filled)

Twin Creek Media is on the hunt for a Marketing Coordinator to add to our growing team. You'll work on projects for lots of different companies—each day is different and exciting. Collaborating with our Account Management team, you'll work on lots of marketing activities that help small businesses succeed. You'll constantly learn new things and see the impact your work has.

This position starts at entry-level but your potential to grow is huge.


About us:

Twin Creek Media is a Digital Marketing Agency that works with small to medium-sized businesses as their virtual marketing department. We have many local clients in the Okanagan, and some spread across Canada.

Since 2004, Twin Creek Media has been a strategic and creative marketing agency located in Kelowna, British Columbia. The firm has carved a place in the marketing world by becoming known for integrated marketing: combining the best of internet and digital with the traditional mediums of print, radio, and TV. Our in-house management team is supported by a specialized extended team, which includes experts in the fields of photography, videography, copywriting, user experience, and research.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with the Account Managers to carry out daily tasks—on time, on budget, and accurately
  • Work with writers and bloggers on topics, content, scheduling, accuracy, and publishing deadlines
  • Update clients’ websites with new content through their content management system
  • Manage social media accounts (organizing content, publishing, monitoring, reporting)
  • Participate in Twin Creek's office admin duties, including taking phone calls from current clients, general research, organization, and administration
  • Work with other media companies and contractors (gathering quotes, details, samples, project info)
  • Communicate clearly and directly with team members concerning performance expectations, productivity, and accountability.
  • Assist in the development of team members for future advancement when possible

 

Money, time, and pace:

Our marketing agency is fast-paced and the nature of the work changes all the time. You'll have easy weeks and crazy weeks. Everyone on our team is considered "management level", even new hires.

We give people a lot of freedom, so motivated people do better than people that need micro-managing. You'll have a great annual salary. You have vacation time & flex time.

We don't work by the hour and you don't get paid by the hour. Did you come in at 8am, 8:30am, 9:15am? Did you leave at 4:50pm 5:15pm, 7pm? Doesn't matter too much.

We're more concerned about results and doing great work that our clients love. When our clients win, we win. Some days will be long, others short. Some weeks are under 40hrs, others over 50hrs. You get paid the same. There's no overtime, but there's balance.

This position is in-house in Kelowna, BC & full-time. The salary for this position is a range between $32,000 and $50,000, depending on experience and skills.

Skills you'll need to survive:

  • Be able to both work in a team and on your own
  • Take initiative, be a self-starter, own your work
  • Think critically; you're not a robot
  • Be fearless, share your ideas, and make things better
  • Ability to problem-solve under pressure
  • Familiar using a Mac computer
  • Good using Microsoft Office, G Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs), and social media platforms
  • Decent creative writing skills and strong spelling/grammar
  • Excellent time-management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Honesty and integrity—own up to your mistakes quickly and learn from them


Nice-to-haves:

  • Marketing or agency experience
  • Marketing, social media, or digital-related diploma or degree
  • Note: While degrees are important, we believe real hands-on experience and the unique talent you bring to the table is far superior. What's your superpower?
  • Experience with Facebook Ad Manager and/or Google Adwords
  • Basic understanding of search engine optimization, email newsletters, blogging, press releases, graphic design, website design
  • Nerd cred (music, art, pop culture, etc)

 

Education:

  • Minimum High School Diploma & relevant College/University is a bonus
