The Apple Race Series: Bringing a community together
When the Apple Race Series returned for the 2025 season, it wasn’t just another year on the calendar — it was a chance to reignite one of Kelowna’s most iconic community landmarks. Twin Creek Media came on board as a Silver Sponsor, supporting the event with full-scale digital marketing, creative, and communications.
With a triathlon, a full marathon weekend, community races, and a growing base of volunteers, the organizers were ready to level up awareness, registrations, and local pride.
Twin Creek Media has been a fantastic partner. They took the time to understand our events and were always fast, responsive, and collaborative. Their in-kind sponsorship support over the year added meaningful value and helped us amplify our story in a way we couldn’t have done alone. Jonathan Arkle, President of the Apple Race Series Society

Project story
Community events have heart, history, and hustle. But without structure, even the most iconic traditions can drift off people’s radar.
That was the Apple Race Series in early 2025: beloved, well-known, and carried forward by organizers and volunteers who were doing everything they could… while also doing everything else. The triathlon had a strong legacy, the marathon weekend drew crowds, and the Series was part of Kelowna’s cultural DNA. But marketing? That lived in the cracks between roles.
The digital presence didn’t match the community reputation. Messaging lacked consistency. Social channels were active, but not strategic. Registrations had flattened. Volunteers were working with fragmented tools and scattered communication. Meanwhile, the Series itself deserved so much more.
Twin Creek Media stepped in as a Silver Sponsor, plugging in a full marketing engine the way we do for long-term partners. The mission was simple but ambitious: reignite the energy, grow participation across the board, and restore the Apple Race Series as a civic highlight for athletes, families, and the broader Kelowna community.
With a refreshed brand identity, clear messaging, and coordinated digital campaigns, the Series found its stride again. Registrations surged, community engagement skyrocketed, and 2025 became a historic year, marking the first time female athletes outnumbered male participants. What began as a community event reboot evolved into a powerful reminder of what happens when passion meets strategy and story meets structure.
