client success story

Family-owned snack brand launches internationally. Expands into treats for furry friends.

marketing for consumer packaged goods

Real food. Peak freshness.

Big Air is a multigenerational family business that was born when Colin’s son decided to experiment with freeze-dried snacks for a school project. The result was mind-blowingly tasty, and before long, the whole family was on board with transforming the project into a business.

Colin, his wife, their two sons, and three dogs are the brains and inspiration behind Big Air. They are on a mission to bring Okanagan quality and freshness to the world—first with produce and soon for your four-legged friends as well!

We wanted to bring fresh, healthy food to people who also live very active family lives. The team at Twin Creek Media helped bring our vision to life. Colin Davison, CEO, Big Air Foods.

Big Air Foods and Big Air Pets represent especially innovative brands. It was important to capture the essence of simple, clean, modern, and fresh in the brand's look and story.

Big on fresh! This a tagline but also a guiding principle for all materials, including packaging. Photography capturing fresh fruit is used across the snack packages, while the pet foods have a window to see inside.

Website

Much like a world-class winery, the brand revolves around people, place, and vision. The website is a celebration of a family's journey to bring Okanagan Valley, BC produce to a global market.

Project story

Big on fresh ideas.

When Colin first met the team at Twin Creek, it was a serious interview disguised as a casual chat. He was looking for the right team to bring his family's vision to reality. It wasn't his first rodeo, so to speak. He needed a team that could deliver on the goods.

We started with a comprehensive branding strategy. Diving into the core identity and essence of Big Air and what makes it special. Understanding the motivations and values of customer personas came next. The story and visual brand elements flowed out, leaving room for future sub-brands.

Freeze-dried fruit snacks captured at the peak of freshness sounds like marketing mumbo jumbo. Until you eat it for yourself! Okay, now to capture that experience through video and photography. Challenge accepted. Our cameras caught the fun and playful side of the brand, as well as the local, family-owned aspects, tying in Okanagan orchards, farms, and a stunning sense of place.

An e-Commerce-ready website was developed as a digital homebase. A custom design with cool "eye-candy" elements was built on the Shopify platform. The website features loads of photos and videos to tell the brand story. Beautiful packaging was designed to showcase the freeze-dried fruit snacks and gourmet pet food. Big Air Foods and Big Air Pets is ready for prime time!
